This is one of my favorite picture books about Martin Luther King Jr. I love the way the author has woven his story through his words. It tells about his childhood, learning about Mahatma Gandhi and nonviolence in India's fight for freedom, and Dr. King's work towards civil rights. The language is powerful yet simple, and the artwork is stunning. This is the kind of picture book that you can look at for hours.
